  • Family Law Paralegal

    Family Law Paralegal, full-time

    About the Role

    We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Family Law Paralegal to join our thriving Family Law team at Moss Solicitors in Loughborough. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to grow and develop within a busy and supportive department.

    Our Family Law work is entirely privately funded, covering a range of matters from divorce and financial settlements to child-related issues. The role offers a chance to manage an existing caseload while contributing to the department’s continued growth and success. For the right candidate, there is potential for a training contract following the successful completion of a probationary period.

    As a Family Law Paralegal at Moss Solicitors, you will play a pivotal role in guiding families through complex legal challenges with professionalism and empathy.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assisting to manage a varied caseload of private family matters, including divorce, financial settlements, and child arrangements.
    • Preparing and drafting legal documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Maintaining and updating the case management system.
    • Providing sensitive, client-focused support for families during challenging times.
    • Representing clients in court proceedings where appropriate.
    • Contributing to business development by generating new client leads.

    About You:

    We are looking for an individual who can deliver exceptional service to our clients while confidently managing their own casework.

    Essential Skills and Experience:

    • At least 1–2 years of experience in Family Law.
    • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to handle a diverse caseload independently.
    • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong organisational and time-management abilities to meet deadlines under pressure.
    • Competent in all Microsoft Office packages.
    • A commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients.

    Location: Moss Solicitors LLP, Loughborough

    Due to expansion, we are looking for an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor/Legal Executive with a passion for residential property and ready to take the next step in your career? Moss Solicitors LLP are seeking a driven and dedicated professional to lead and grow our thriving Conveyancing Department.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Handle your own caseload of residential property matters independently.
    • Supervise and mentor support staff.
    • Play an active role in business development, including networking and building client relationships.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • A minimum of 2 years’ PQE in all aspects of residential property conveyancing including freehold and leasehold properties, first registrations, auctions, new builds, shared ownership, transfers of equity, site acquisition and development
    • Strong business development skills with an initiative-taking approach to networking.
    • A proven ability to manage a caseload efficiently and independently whilst delivering exceptional client care.
