Nick qualified as a solicitor in 1990 and joined Moss Solicitors in 2003, having previously worked at firms in Loughborough and Leicester.

He is an experienced civil and commercial litigator and employment lawyer, with particular expertise in property litigation work including landlord and tenant issues, such as lease renewals and dilapidations claims, and disputes relating to land, (such as boundaries, adverse possession and rights of way).

Over his 30 years’ in practice, Nick has dealt with a wide range of contractual and debt recovery claims both on behalf of small businesses and private individuals. His experience ranges from the cost-effective collection of debts worth up to £10,000 through the County Court Small Claims Track to acting for companies seeking in defending contractual claims worth between £300,000 and £800,000, whether by means of arbitration or court proceedings.

Nick has considerable experience in the enforcement of county court judgments, whether by High Court enforcement officers, county court bailiffs, by means of charging orders, the preparation of statutory demands and bankruptcy or winding-up petitions against individuals and companies.

Nick combines a friendly client-focused approach with pragmatic cost-effective advice and has a particular interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution, including arbitration and mediation.

Away from work, Nick has acted as a local academy school governor, enjoys skiing, body-boarding and hill-walking. He is also a long-suffering Huddersfield Town Football Club supporter.
